Erik Steigen was the Director of the Publishing & Royalties Department at Provident Financial Management (Santa Monica, CA) from 2004 until January 2012.  Provident is a leading U.S. business management firm with offices in San Francisco, Woodland Hills and Santa Monica, providing a variety of financial and strategic services for the entertainment community.

Steigen also ran the boutique music publishing company 2850 Music, of which he was a co-founder, as part of his department's services.  Steigen signed a variety of artists and songwriters to 2850, from international superstars to singer/songwriters and indie bands.

Since his arrival at Provident in 2002, Steigen established a successful royalty accounting and publishing administration department providing hands-on services for musicians, songwriters, music publishers, record companies, new media companies and entrepreneurs.  The department’s services included royalty accounting and licensing for indie labels; worldwide publishing administration and creative services for songwriters (including song pitching for film/TV placements); third party royalty participant accounting; royalty statement desk audits; sound recording performance royalty collection; and financial due diligence for copyright owners selling their publishing catalogs.

Steigen thrives on creating opportunities and finding new revenue streams for his clients.  His ability to speak the creative language of musicians and artists combined with his business acumen has proven to be a successful combination.

Steigen is a former national board member of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and has been a guest speaker for the Entertainment Studies Division at UCLA, as well as panelist and moderator on various music industry panels.
